Jane grew up in country Victoria, Australia, near wild and windy beaches. She spent most of her childhood exploring the farming district on horseback or writing poetry and stories outdoors, with her typewriter perched on her knees.
Her creative interests were put on hold when she followed the demand for computing and spent the next few decades growing a career in I.T., working in Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart and London before settling in Brisbane as a National Manager of Information and Analytics.
The calling to become a writer finally caught up with Jane in 2018 when she studied how to write a novel and wrote the first of her books. After starting Habanero Writing in 2023, she left her I.T. career into 2024 to become a full time writer, poet and speaker.
When she’s not working, Jane enjoys painting, photography and exploring the beautiful cities and landscapes of South Korea, her favourite location for writing where she’s inspired by the warm-hearted people and their vibrant culture.
